Forts and castles are Oman's most striking cultural landmarks, and together with its towers and city walls, they have historically been used as defensive look-out points. It is estimated that there are over 500 forts, castles, and towers in Oman. Your tour will include a few that are remarkable and striking in their architecture and style.

Revel in the heritage as you stroll through the Nizwa Souq, the largest open market in Oman. The souq is famous for its array of products offered, including handicrafts, agricultural products, spices, and dates. Silver, gold, and other handmade jewelry items can be bought at the market, making it ideal for souvenir shopping.

Then move on to Jabreen, perhaps the finest of Omani castles. The castle has dungeons, passages, as well as rooms and ceilings decorated with fine carvings and paintings. All of these landmarks and much more plus a lunch break are included in this day-long adventure. As you dine at a local restaurant, absorb the local culture through the food you eat and the diverse array of people walking by. Your backdrop all day is the picturesque mountains adding to the overall Nizwa experience.
