Summit Views, Yukon Sled Dogs, and Musher Experience

Get ready for an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska and Canada on the Yukon Sled Dogs & Scenic Wilderness Adventure-a perfect blend of rugged beauty, cultural discovery, and hands-on fun.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive along the historic Klondike Highway, where you'll travel from Skagway, Alaska, through British Columbia, and into the Yukon Territory. Along the way, you'll enjoy photo stops at dramatic landmarks including the Tormented Valley, Summit Lake, and the iconic Welcome to Alaska sign, each offering awe-inspiring views of the subarctic wilderness.

The highlight of your day takes place at the Tutshi Sled Dog Camp, where the heart of Yukon culture and tradition is on full display. Here, you'll dive into the fascinating world of sled dog heritage, learning about the critical role these dogs have played in the legendary Yukon Quest and Iditarod races. You'll meet passionate mushers, spend time with their enthusiastic sled dog teams, and even get the chance to play with adorable sled dog puppies.

Next comes the thrilling Musher Experience, where you'll hop aboard a specially designed 6-passenger UTV for a 15- to 20-minute dog cart ride through scenic wilderness trails, pulled by a lively team of sled dogs. It's an exciting and memorable way to experience a taste of mushing firsthand

Before heading back, enjoy a visit to the camp's gift shop, where you can browse for snacks and unique souvenirs to remember your adventure.
